Android to iMessage?

We know an older sister that refuses to email but will use her iPad to message her friends, we want to keep in touch with her but we have android phones. 

Is there a way to send text or imessages from an android phone to a wifi iPad?

Try whatsapp, it will need to be installed on both devices, but it's free.

Yes, with iPad, you can now send messages. In fact, I have all my messages come through that one feature. So if you message her, she should get it.

Apparently she is only comfortable using her iMessage app and doesn't want to learn or use any other apps.

We don't have an iPad so we can't message her iPad, we are looking for a way to send a iMessage to her iPad from our Android phones.

That site says it's for use on phones, didn't see anything about tablets. Wouldn't you need a phone number for your tablet to message to it? How would that work?

That is what Richard was looking for, a way to message her iPad from his Android phone.

I tried to download the app but you have to take a marketing survey first, I gave up after a while...

I believe it is also available through the Google play store. At least that is what I read on an Android forum.

Because of reading this thread I downloaded MightyText from Google which sync's the messages on my phone to my tablet and computer! So now i get my text messages and can send them from any of my devices!
