Superpowers...

Recommended Posts

I think my wife has superpowers..

Her hearing has always astounded me;

She can wake up in the middle of the night and hear a small spider walking on the ceiling.

She can hear me chewing gum from the other room.

She can hear me bite a fingernail when the TV is on.

Her eyesight is amazing too;

She can see me shaking my head when her back is turned (maybe she hears the rattle)

She can see my dirty socks under the bed without lifting the covers.

She can see the last piece of cake is gone without opening the refrigerator door..

OTOH, I'm not sure she has superpowers..

She can't hear my stomach growling at dinner time

She can't hear me sigh while paying the bills

She can't hear the laundry dryer when the clothes are dry.

She can't see dirty dishes

She can't see the cat's litter box

She can't see the clock...

I'm not sure if she has super powers or not but I still call her Super Woman!

I think I have super powers. I am able to discern when Emma wants a cuppa. It's probably because she says things like "I don't know. You could die of thirst around here."

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13

Wonderdog = my little dog can hear the refrig door open even when she is in a canine coma. She comes running out to the kitchen with that begging hound dog look. NOw, her food is not kept in the fridge, but she is going to guilt out any one who eats without her.  She can also, just come in from a bathroom walk where she has completely voided all digestive functions,but as soon  as she gets in,  manage to express a liquid droplet on her wee pad, and make little whining sounds until the pad is replaced.   I think she gets these qualities from  the paternal side.

Underdog = the middle sized dog walks away nonchalantly  and totally unruffled by over-reactions of anyone else around, whether 2 or 4 legged varieties.   From Distaff side, no doubt, and anything but super.
