Self-driving truck

The future is here. On the Ohio Turnpike Thursday, a self-driving truck drove along traffic as part of a test of the technology.

That looks like an interesting take on self-driving vehicle. If it proves successful, I could see that, rather than taking jobs from truckers, it would keep a driver in the seat who would be far less fatigued when the truck reaches it's designation - leaving the driver to do the maneuvering needed for parking, loading etc.


Most truckers do not get worn out by the negotiating of traffic in city navigation to a destination - they get fatigue when out on the open road for long stretches of open road. This is where this technology would be nice - if it really works.
