Thank you Jehovah for "food"

Recommended Posts

Food is no longer what it used to be. The flavour and taste and no doubt nutritional value has gone down since i was a lad. It makes me sad to bite into a tart red delicious apple or a sour orange. I look forward to the time when all things ard made new.

I agree, Vincent.

When I was in Africa in 2011, I realized how bananas REALLY taste, because there you eat them ripe, directly from the tree.

Here in Germany we get a version that was picked from the tree long time before it can become ripe (caused to the transport time they need).

The difference in taste is really amazing.

Does anyone have a bread maker? Would you say they are worth it? I've made bread by hand and the results are usually between good and very good.  I'm still at the debating state. Bread maker, higher end stand alone mixer, or continue by hand. I like to  research something to death before I decide anything.  It's hard to trust online reviews now a days,   What has your experience been?

We had a breadmaker. It made a great variety delicious, super goood,  waist enhancing bread.  Loved it. The reason we don't have it anymore is when I smell fresh baked bread I have to get out the butter and eat it, well maybe not all at one sitting, but it never went stale. Self defense, gave the breadmaker to sister in Nicaraugua where bread is not readily available. :D

I am not sying I am Superman, I am only saying that nobody has ever seen Superman  and me in a room together.

Absolutely! I married her 39 years ago and it's still worth it.

She makes bread, cake, scones, biscuits, muffins....

I'm too young to have experienced what my parents and grandparents described as real food. The closest they came to packaged food was food grown in the garden and then canned in a jar for the next season. Some claim to eat "raw", truly healthy foods, but even then the closest we try to get, it's still somehow been genetically modified, bleached, processed, packaged and stored for Jah knows how long. I'm planning to start a small balcony garden soon, but I'm struggling to find organic seeds for the varieties I'm looking for. I look forward to the day where I can grow and taste a perfectly sweet strawberry.
