We don't have root beer extract here in UK (unless it's something simple with molasses etc), but it is a similar recipe as for ginger ale except you add 2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger and juice one lemon

We made Ginger beer as an experiment in science class in Junior School to see how yeast works. For some reason it either fermented too well or wasn't diluted enough. The teacher gave us all a drink from the bottles we'd made previously, and a class of 8 year olds went home reeling, singing and giggling and propping each other up! :lol2:Hick!!

You have to be careful how you unscrew the tops on these productions - keep the top away from your face as it could shoot off and put your eye out!
