Time changes tonight.

Recommended Posts

So don't arrive at the wrong time for the meeting, the time changes for some of us.

Where I am it will fall back an hour.

Same here, yay! Extra hour of sleep :snoring:

Some brothers and sisters will be an hour early to the meeting :clown:

Yes, it is Bartel. We are in the same District (Districts are BIG!) but not the same Circuit. We are Circuit 3b and have Charles Ruch Jr. as our CO.

Bartel is new to us, and really good. We got to host him last year and listen to him give a talk at our congregation.

Thanks Nancy. I put it on the calender and then I forgot about. A lot of good it did me to write it down. I don't even look at the calender on weekends. Two of my sons want to thank you too. When I saw your post, I called them up to remind them of the time change. They didn't even know anything about it.

No, I got baptized at the DC in Cleveland.

My thoughts were - the more people the merrier. Being baptized before 7500 onlookers seemed a lot cooler than a couple hundred :)

We are hosting our DO and CO this year during the Circuit Convention Week which is Dec 3 and 4. So on Tuesday, Nov 29 we get a special meeting. We are very excited!!!! The CO and DO will be out in service with us that week too leading up to the assembly on the weekend. And my daughter is getting baptized that weekend, so it will be a wonderful week for my family.

Thats wonderful news about your daughter, congradulations.

It's been a few years since we had the DO and CO,I loved the DO who came here

we went out together several times,he was very quiet and just grinned as I talked like Speedy Gonzolas

because I was nervous, but I could have talked to him anytime anywhere,he was so down to earth.

I thought he was old, well he was but he was raised in the truth, unbelieveably, and his parents were

still alive.I love hearing of friends raised in the truth.Thats awesome! Like your daughter and I'm hoping my son.

Someday. He said he wants to get baptized. But not yet. He's 13.

Thank you so much. My daughter is 15 now, she finished her questions and got the ok from the elders. My son is 13, so hopefully in a few years, he will be getting baptized himself.

:DAmerica! Always out of touch with the rest of the world. :(

We put our clocks back last weekend. :D

Would you believe they changed it from last week to this week so the "trick or treaters" would have an extra hour of light??? SICKENING!

Halloween - no rest for the wicked! :)

That is crazy, willow. All the disruption to world time synchronisation because of that!

The UK is considering bringing its time into line with Europe and staying on British Summer Time from next year, although Scotland are firmly against it. And there is also considerable debate about the 'leap second' now!

I could have written this post, it's all the same here: CC same weekend, hosting DO and CO, and special meeting on tuesday. Only a few hours earlier than you, I guess. (<img src=)'>

That doesn't even seem legal! Do you get paid your regular eight hours when the daylight savings time starts in the spring even though you work seven that night? Maybe that's why they only pay eight and not nine. I think they should pay EXACTLY what you work that night. I feel you pain. :hammer:

I had the most relaxing time getting ready for our CA this last Sunday.

They announced it twice at our CA in St. George. I didn't change the clock in the room. My wife gets up and starts getting ready according to the clock (that hasn't been changed). She is normally late for EVERYTHING!!! Drives me crazy as she is always making me late - and it is just the 2 of us!!!! X( Good things we don't have kids (except Zoey :lol2:)

Anyway, she checks her iPhone and sees that it is 1 hour less than the clock, but thinks it is still on Las Vegas time - which is an hour earlier. I don't say anything. We get ready - and I am all casual. She even asked me why I wasn't rushing her - like usual. Just gave her a kiss and said - your doing fine :)o.

We pack the car and head to the convention - then I tell her :touche: Oh yeah :boxing: She doesn't believe me at first, but then realizes I am telling the truth. Then she says - I was wondering why you weren't rushing. We get there at 8:20 - instead of 9:20 (mind you, I have an assignment to do the mics on stage and be there for rehearsal at 8:30) The day before I just went out in the hotel lobby and hitched a ride - not that day ;).

Now she knows what it is like to be early. I think she liked it, but I doubt things will change. Oh well, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. I suppose at least my wife can be early once a year :lol1:
