I love this song. This song is high on my list of all time favorites.

If you want to enjoy a beautiful song, put some good headphones on and listen.

I think Ray Charles does the best version of this song that  I’ve heard....including Whitney Houston’s version or Donny Hathaway’s versions.

This girl is from my neck of the woods. She wrote and sang these 2 hits in the 90s. I think they’re profound lyrics and the music and her voice is great.

She’s a little quirky but many artistic people are.

Thanks for bringing this artist to my attention, Brother Burt.

 

I love her voice so much, I vetted the lyrics to her songs, listened to snippits of them,

and then purchased 8 of them.   I would have saved some money just downloading her Greatest Hits

album, but some of the lyrics to some of her song are 'explicit'.   Also, without knowing Jehovah, a lot of

her lyrics are all about hopelessness.  She definitely needs The TRUTH.    Bonnie Rait is another female artist

whose voice I love.

This was one of those songs they played over and over again  on the radio. It was very controversial with feminist groups. They blew a gasket when they heard this song. It probably would be even more controversial if it was released today.

Tammy Wynette voice is one of those voices that you easily recognize. I enjoy her voice....it feels down to earth.
