Summer colds vs Winter colds

Recommended Posts

Well, we are all dropping like flies from whatever the latest bug is going around.  Usually you don't get colds in Summer, a welcome reprieve.  But due to changeable weather conditions and an increase in travellers, we are seeing a spike in colds, flus and chills in hot climates.  And that makes us all so much more miserable than having a cold in winter don't you think?

In winter, I like hot soups, blanket/doona/duvet/quilts, and the heater.  In summer, it's just too hot to have this comfort.  You have chills, but you also have feverishness.  You have the aircon on due to the hot weather, you feel the chills back.  You are sweaty both from the fever and the hot weather.  You can't take hot showers, it's just too hot.

Sucking on strepsils and taking my vitamins in a (vain) attempt to ward off the worst of this pestilence and going to the meeting, to freeze in the aircon.....

The more you sweat, the faster the infection will be over. X( Of course, I can't tolerate the cold myself... so I prefer the heat. :encourage: I still take hot showers with an infection.
I felt the most relief from using honey, ginger, garlic, essential oils, colloidal silver, coconut oil pulling, and plenty of water. Break it down mechanically and flush it out as fast as possible.
