How to display the yeartext using jw library app?

Greetings all.  My name is David.  I attend a congregation in Nicaragua.  Our congregation has 2 TV's, and SVGA cable connection and normally we have an adapter

to plug into a IPad or IPhone to project the images and videos for our meetings.  The brothers asked me to find a way to display the yeartext when we are not displaying videos or images.

The problem is that JW library app does not give you an option to display the yeartext.  Has anyone found a method where i might be able to do this using an ipad or iphone????

Hmmm...

Actually I was surprised to find out it works with Apple TV. It didn’t before so must have just been quite recent. But yes using Apple TV the year text shows with the IOS JW Library app so it’s capable.

It shows automatically with a regular hdmi connection as well.

I don't have an iPad, so can only explain how it works in Windows, and it may be the same with Apple.

Under settings, an option to play videos on second display, that needs to be on.  The yeartext will display whenever nothing else is on.

Unfortunately, that features not there. But as mentioned above it automatically shows it when connected when nothing else is played/displayed.

I do not have an iPad, so I hope this makes sense. Can you type up a word document or use paint, making the page black and the text in a nice white font. Type up the year text. Save this page as a picture. Now use that 'picture' as your desktop.
In Windows you can set this picture as your desktop and it will be on display when you are not showing any pictures or videos.
