I've just heard on the news in Australia, that the government is pushing for religious equality - the same as equality for gender, age, etc.
They say that everyone should be able to worship as they wish in this country.

Interesting to see where this goes.
Makes one wonder how things will change in the near future.

I assume that "religious equality" means gays, unmarried, transgenders, etc. can go anywhere they like with full participation.

Ooooohhhhh thanks for that. I wasn’t sure about that either. lol

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

I'd like to know for sure but the post did say 'religious equality' not more rights for LGBT.

If we could get a fuller description I like to see it.. I imagine that it means you can't bias against someone for pure religious attachment.

Curious..

If it is religious rights.. I'm glad.. It stops me thinking, cynically, that everyone in politics is either corrupt or self serving. There are some good people out there.. might be a minority but they are there.

Sorry - been blown away with life lately!

But I just flew back in!

The words on the news were -

Quote

the government is pushing for religious equality

That's it.

I assumed up to this point that theoretically, there is freedom of religion.

Although - some people in our territory beg to differ.....

What exactly it means, I don't know

So - why the big announcement?

What's up?
