Durian and Natto

I have only had Durian from the frozen section of our Asian supermarket so far. I can't really decide if I like it or not. The day I tried it my husband asked me to sleep on the couch 🤣 That smell!

It felt like the more I had the less I liked it - so I can only tolerate a few bites. In any case it does taste like cheese and onion spread served on pineapple ..mmmhh...

As for Natto, I had it once. Didn't mind the taste but didn't think it was something I would eat on a daily basis.

I would really like to try stinky tofu, that's on my list for Taiwan!

I smelled stinky tofu many times and I couldn't dare even when I could have it only if wanted because of the powerful smell!!

Durian is best tasted after it's fully ripe and when it's in a cold refrigerator... That way, it'd stink less and taste more like icecream! :-)

Natto, I wouldn't recommend to be eaten daily, either.

And try Kimchi too if you have a chance!

I didn't use to eat anything orange. Once I tasted pumpkin fritters, I started eating pumpkin. It's very common here. It's used with stews or porridges, soups, rice, and it's also eaten only with "mojo" (sauce/marinade).

Pumpkin flan is a delicious and common dessert.
