French Toast

Recommended Posts

Does anybody eat french toast like this?  Instead of dipping the bread in egg in my family we dip it in pancake batter.  My aunt also saw this done in a restaurant she worked at.  It's very good but of course, has extra carbs and fat.

I usually use my Grandma's recipe for pancake batter but have also used mixes.

No, I have never tried it that way - but, I probably will try it

We usually make French Toast with egg and top it with butter and cinnamon sugar

We eat them with either syrup or sugar and cinnamon with milk.  Sometimes we eat it like we do with pancakes sometimes, with sour cream and brown sugar.  Sour cream and brown sugar doesn't sound good but it is.  When the pancakes or french toast is hot the brown sugar melts and it makes a syrup.
