Clean love stories

Recommended Posts

Considering brother Dilip´s purpose I agree with David.

But I´m interested in the topic in general, because it´s difficult to find "clean" romantic stories nowadays…

@ Dilip: I personally like "love story" by Erich Segal very much - the novel as well as the movie.

By "clean" are you asking for novels with zero descriptions of sex? What if the story is about a husband and wife? Or does clean just mean zero descriptions of immoral sex?

Hi Dilip,

You have made many kind and loving expressions about your wife in your posts.

Maybe you are more of a kind, loving, romantic husband than you think?  :)

There are some movies/books that have some nice, clean love stories. However, there is something to consider about even clean love stories, and that is how many of these are based on a fantasy idea of what love and romance is, rather than what true love is. Some of the romantic scenes in books/movies can be unrealistic. And here is something else to consider:  Most often the people in these love stories are fictional people, so the writer may have the man do something very romantic that touches the heart of the fictional woman. But in reality, each woman's heart is different. So if you read about something that a man does that seems romantic and worked very well in the novel, this may not be something that would touch your own wife's heart. ♥️

There is only 1 man in the world that really knows what your wife would consider romantic and what would touch her heart, that man is Dilip.  So as a suggestion, maybe instead of love novels, take some time to deeply consider the beautiful heart of your wife. What has great meaning to her? What brings her tears of joy and happiness? What makes your wife feel lovable and loved? Because as you said, "The purpose is to love my wife more."

So if you were to try and do certain romantic things that you yourself thought of that would be special to your wife, you will have a great "love story"!

I loved the chicken soup series of books but I haven't read this one.

Everyone has their own idea of romance-a candlelight dinner, a stroll on the beach or a sprinkling of rose petals on a bed. Now, Chicken Soup for the Romantic Soul brings brand new inspiration to expressions of romance

Another one that I found on the net : Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Miracle of Love: 101 Stories about Hope, Soul Mates and New Beginnings

This book will warm the heart and lift the spirit of any reader who is looking for, or has found, the miracle of love. Stories of dating, romance, love and marriage, with all their ups and downs, will encourage, inspire and amuse readers.

Everyone loves a good love story.  And we all enjoy stories about how the love started and blossomed. This fun new book about dating, romance, love, and marriage will make you laugh and make you cry, and is guaranteed to inspire you to renew that search for your soul mate or open your heart a little more to the one you already have. It’s never too late for love at any age. Read about how couples met, when "they knew," proposals, maintaining the relationship, second chances, and all the other facets of the miracle that is love.

Just don't keep your expectations too high. Some of the stories are just dud. Happy searching.

Brother, why don't you try reading poetry to your beloved wife.

Cloths of Heaven by W. B. Yeats.

My wife threaten to divorce me if I do that. :lol1::lol2: :coffee:

Seriously, I like poetry.....not the rhyming kind,  but the ones with many thoughtful expressions, like the Psalms or Song of Solomon.
