I am so not into sports. In fact, I am the Anti-Sport. But I do watch the Super Bowl with an avid interest in the commercials (which were not all that impressive this year, imo).

But now that I have a new hi-def 51" Samsung Plasma TV (their 2nd to top of the line, btw), I must say that the Super Bowl showed off it's capabilities in a wonderful way. I just might have to start watching sports just for this alone.

Commercials were brutal i thought.

THe ones with Seinfeld and Brodderick were pretty clever. A few that appeal to our love of animals got a laugh, but overall very poor.

Yes, being chased by the Cheetah was funny, and so was the one where the dog buried the family cat and used Doritos as hush money

But my overall favorite was definitely the Seinfeld and Jay Leno commercial. I particularly like Leno, and his appearance took me by surprise. I thought it was great.

Premier League match brought to a halt after pitch is invaded by a CAT As football pitch invasions go, it was one of the more unusual and certainly gave the stewards less trouble. Nonetheless, last night's Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham was still brought to a standstill when a cat found its way inside the stadium and on to the pitch. The tabby pitch invader casually strolled on to the hallowed turf inside Liverpool's Anfield ground around 10 minutes into last night's 0-0 draw between the two sides.

I watched the recorded game (great because I didn't have to listen to the commentators in the commercial breaks (we don't get the ads in the UK) and I could fast-forward the interruptions in play. I could also go fast past the half-time show.

The game itself was great - very tense last 2 minutes (and I am glad the Giants won - I take NY over Bost- oops, New England every time!)
