Australia is in my heart ... even moreso tonight as the severity of this event is now hitting New Zealand. It's 2.30 am and I'm sitting here having to use inhalers and have just clicked why I'm having periods of severe breathing difficulties ... tonight the smell of smoke is very strong (West Coast North Island).

IF  this is doing that in NZ - can you imagine how our friends, brothers and sisters are doing over the ditch?

I hope they put them out soon, not just for my health, but for the well being of so many both here in Nz and Australia.

This was the plume that hit last Wednesday ... but it seems we have another now.

Other Countries affected From the look of the Radar imagery:

PNG

Solomon Islands

Caledonia

Vanuatu

Fiji

Tonga

Samoa

and even Asia up towards Japan.

Thank you my dear sister - at least now though I have an answer as to why I'm so tired and taking more asthma meds. But I'm usually controlled so what about those who aren't? And the elderly? Hope it all clears soon for everyone.

Fires wiped out huge amount of bees and flora, they estimate 20 years as a recovery period, this is how substantial loss is.

Farmers described the trauma of animals etc as “ the forest is screaming”

Today in Melbourne we are going to have +40 C and windy, not good if fire starts.

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)
