Important Info from my Mom's Service Overseer (??)

Received a message this morning that we should stock pile non perishable foods for 6 to 8 weeks.. has anyone else heard this?

No, Sister, not my SO, but my Dr did tell me last week to stay home and inside for at least two months!  My elders have set me up with Zoom so I can see the meetings and see my brothers/sisters.  The SO said we could visit online for a few minutes before/after meetings.  How loving and we are happy for that.

Here in Spain we haven't been told to stockpile, since groceries and supermarkets are open and they have stock of most products. But maybe circumstances where you live are different. If those instructions were from the congregation or from the authorities, follow them.

She lives on the Treasure Coast in Florida,..

 

I live in South Florida I myself personally have not received anything from my service overseer

but im waiting to see if he sends anything

I live on the Treasure Coast too, I live with a sister who might be in the same cong as your mom in PSL, or one of the other congs here. She received this same message, but I go to the Chinese cong in Boca Raton and also help support the new Chinese pre group here in PSL, and I haven't gotten that message from the brothers in either yet... So far only she got it for her cong here.

Nothing has come from the Branch on this via letters or announcements. Not saying it is a bad idea, but probably not possible for many houeholds. Perhaps local needs?
