China Destroys Buddhist Statues

Surprising. I know they want to remove religions that did not come from China. Trying to encourage Daoism and Confucianism. I do wonder if it's because this specific religion comes from India, but it's been in China for hundreds of years.

 

Though it's not the first time, in the 1900s they had a similar crackdown (revolving around the "Boxer Rebellion") and the 1960s Cultural Revolution. All is coming to a boiling point though isn't it, for the attack on Babylon.
