Activities usually bring to mind some sort of motion or physical exertion however, one could be engaged in, what would seem a contradiction of terms, if they were engaged in the activity of being at rest.

Torn with grief and righteous outrage, Jehovah’s faithful ones—like Job, Ezra, and Paul and Barnabas—ripped their garments to express deep sorrow or indignation over disrespect for God’s name or law.

Law of righteous integrity was what Job obeyed, which made him so frustrated by the false comforters who tried to accuse him of doing otherwise.

Otherwise, why would someone spend time and effort to try and construct a well worded, cleverly engineered, appropriately logical sentence from the last word of the one that came before it just to post such a response on a social media platform like a forum?

Forum posts like that remind us that even today, some are still torn—not their garments, but in heart—for the things that offend Jehovah.

Jehovah is indeed God's personal name and should be respected yet, I once worked with a guy whose first name was Jehovah and, by his use of drugs, smoking, language and immoral lifestyle, he certainly did not bring praise to the greatest name there is but instead brought reproach.

Reproach follows when someone bears the name Jehovah—whether by claim or coincidence—but lives in a way that dishonors it.

Blatant as it was, my use of grief stemmed from a rogue train of thought derailed by an earlier sentence about mourning, and before I could correct course, the game had marched on without me.

Concert was the word, but my mind—still echoing with the emotional reverb of grief and rogue parrots quoting transcripts—must’ve been backstage when that cue was given.
