2020 - And that's a wrap !

Recommended Posts

Last week of 2020, the weirdest year EVER I just wondered what for everyone have been the BEST ( think hard) and the WORST ( Easier) moments of 2020 as it wraps up !

Mine are :

BEST - getting to know people in the congregation I was less likely to speak to in our very large congregation ( often near 200 in attendance) after getting used to blue hands and "your on mute , unmute yourself" the breakout rooms after the meetings have meant chatting in a small group with ones I only knew by sight in the Kingdom Hall ( sometimes funny moments , like the brother who came in saw me and left - slightly awkward )

Also growing so close to my group - especially in the beginning we needed our groups ( felt like our interior room) like never before , elderly ones needed help with joining on to the meetings , but that went much further , shopping , baking and many other things became very normal for the group to help with during the pandemic and of course the effort to help elderly join in the ministry , we had one sister who couldn't write letters but wanted to help so we dropped our business letters to her home and she put the stamps on , for her it was lovely to be involved.

Developing the ability to keep busy and be happy without all the extra help and support.

The lovely texts, phone calls and gifts that we receive from our brothers and sisters who think about us on a daily basis (as we do them )

WORSE - No meetings , Ministry and Conventions - and now having this never ending round of lockdowns where we don't see family and friends .

There is a strength in adversity - perhaps we are developing this now to be prepared for the GT.

I've done that when we met at the KH, usually when I looked at someone and suddenly realized that I had left my glasses, keys or bible in the car. 🤣

I am really enjoying the convention and assemblies this year. I like that we are all seeing the same talks. The memorial was a highlight of the year.

Grandkids born years later will ask, "What did you do in 2020 grandpa/grandma?"  and you will say, "I stayed home."  They will say, "OH, that sounds so boring!!!"  AHH, but I listened to Jehovah and am alive to enjoy you and that's important.

We cannot incite if we are not in sight.___Heb.10:24,25

Yes Memorial was a real highlight .

But the brother doesn't wear glasses ! we all think he was scared because I talk to much ! or that's what everyone told me , whilst laughing hysterically .

That is so true , I have a granddaughter born in July and we keep thinking she hasn't yet been to a meeting at the Kingdom Hall how strange is that .
