yes, when you look around the whole world and see what many governments are doing (and have been doing for some time), I find it hard not to chuckle when people in western/democratic countries get all riled up about new local laws that they feel infringe of their 'freedoms'

even some witnesses get caught up in fear mongering when they learn that their government is trying to silence extremists (including white supremacists, nazis, etc).  No, if you want to see what an actual attack on religion looks like, look to some of the strong, totalitarian, governments of asia and the middle east where the internet has been censored for over two decades, and how many of us have paid attention let alone try to sympathize with the people who have been living under these regimes all this time?

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
