Thursday, June 10

Throw your burden on Jehovah, and he will sustain you.—Ps. 55:22.

Are you dealing with a stressful situation? How comforting it is for us to know that Jehovah understands our emotional struggles. He knows our limitations, and he even knows what we are thinking and feeling. (Ps. 103:14; 139:3, 4) By relying on Jehovah, we will receive help to deal with problems that cause us stress. Stress can cause you to think negatively, making you feel discouraged. If that happens, remember that Jehovah will help you deal with stress. How will he help you? He invites you to share your concerns with him. And he will answer your cries for help. (Ps. 5:3; 1 Pet. 5:7) So pray to Jehovah often about your problems. He will not speak directly to you, but he will speak to you through his Word, the Bible, and through his organization. The accounts you read in the Bible can comfort you and give you hope. Also, your brothers and sisters can encourage you.—Rom. 15:4; Heb. 10:24, 25. w19.06 16 ¶7-8

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

In Bible times a donkey was called a beast of burden because it can carry very heavy loads. If you tried to carry the same weight, you would no doubt collapse under the heavy load.  Jehovah in a sense is saying let me be your beast of burden. Throw what you cannot carry onto me and I will help you out. Not only does he help us out, but he sustains us, in effect keeping us alive as we unload our burdens onto him in prayer.

The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovah

Once we 'throw' our burden on Jehovah we need to resist the temptation to keep 'grabbing it back' its difficult as worries can be all consuming but if we can achieve leaving things with Jehovah we can feel more peaceful.

Jehovahs provisions of preyer , our meetings and our brothers and sister can give us the peace of knowing we are not alone.

Through prayer we rely on Jehovah for strength when trials & stress is sapping our energy, Jehovah will give us the strength we need to loyally serve him.

Jehovah will encourage us through his word which will help us to root any negative thinking but We can’t hear His voice if We don’t make the effort of reading the Bible daily & our publications from the Faithful & Discreet Slave.

In Elijah’s case he used an angel to encourage & take care of him but today Jehovah shows us His love through our Christian meetings where we get help to bear our emotional burdens, but we won’t see that if we isolate & stop from attending the Meetings.
