Best General Purpose Computer?

I used my computer quite a - lot mainly for maintaining my database of cds.  I have everything catalogued alphabetically and am working on a way of cataloguing classical music. 

Unfortunately Windows 10 has let me down.

I have managed to salvage the majority of the data on several disparate disc drives.

 

I have also been able to install Windows 7 on this machine - best Windows ever in my opinion .  i was thinking of replacing the computer altogether - I don’t mind much what sort of replacement  in the [ aversion naturally to Windows !!!]  main as long as it it does its job.,

 

Apple intrigues me, dual boot more so.  Some programs will not work on win7. .!

 

Suggestions please.

Are you looking for a desktop or a laptop. MacBook Air and iMacs are solid. Or you could go the normal pc route and try linux which would be fun learning how to use.

Any modern and reasonably specced computer should have no issues when it comes to managing files or data. It would help if you explained your specific problems and use cases, how Windows 10 has let you down, and what type of computer (desktop, laptop, etc) you are needing to suit your needs.
