It's the literal definition of cooperating, though, and it doesn't matter if they have minor acts of cooperation - they are still rival Kings, regardless.

Things are certainly moving fast as we’re expecting them to and I fully believe that the next moves will be fast and unexpected… I wouldn’t call KOTS and KOTN chums

 We must be careful on some of this. Yes, the Cold War ended in late 80’s into the 90’s. Will there be another cease of the Cold War? Who knows, but do not be surprised about this. Also, KOTN and KOTS are rule by old gumps who do not know how to rule and we can see this  in their local news.

Exactly: after WW-2 both have “created the United Nations “

Both are on the Security Council and have veto power. They make up like 4/5ths of it all together. So a Security Council resolution could be on the table.

 

PS: I added China in the mix because it’s an ally of Russia. France is the one that didn’t figure in this.

If anyone bothers to watch the various news items concerning the various meetings between heads of state; give some time, not to listen to their words so much but rather to watch their body language. You can learn a lot from that.

I guess I am different. I don't see a way to discuss the different ways to achieve fulfillment of this without involving politics. Isn't this the basis of this prophecy? I find the conversation stimulating as to the various ways it could play out and with so many different friends living under different government rulerships it lends many outlooks. As long as we are not rooting for sides and clearly see Jehovah's clear victory I see this as the last political discussion to ever need. Unless we relive the glory of our King and the fulfillment of  his battle plan in the New World.

I think what you really mean is 'world events' which involves governments and to a lesser degree politics. It is a large umbrella.

Aren't world events shaped by politics? I had never, not once, followed politics UNTIL I was baptized at age 41. Never felt I had enough understanding to vote. Then came to believe it does not matter who because all were greedy and you only saw what they wanted the public to see. Then I learned about the ONLY pure government rule and became ecstatic. Now every little reported item I'm on the edge of my seat wondering how or when or if this will be a turning point in Jehovah's plan/purpose. All I can say is he knows how to write a page turner and keep you on the edge of your seat. We already know the ending but the thrill of seeing it work out with so many twists and turns is exhilarating. Every since I was little I read the ending of the book first. It did not spoil one bit of the book for me.

RE: The extent of Politic in World affairs, events and in our own lives is extensive, even when we are neutral. 

If you think about the New World the extent of our kingdom will be seen in every nook and cranny, so we shouldn't be surprised how permeated the effects of politics are now. 

It's difficult to reports facts without our hearts getting involved isn't it? And everything is so big, individuals get lost.

The preaching work is what is keeping our equilibrium because we are dealing with people not collectives.
