Can we have a French class?

Recommended Posts

I am hoping we have native or experienced speakers of the french language here who can help out with correct pronunciations, expressions, verb conjugations etc.it will be preferable to use voice notes, although im not sure if the Jwtalk messenger has provision for voice note, but It will be very helpful if that feature is available, merçi beaucoup.

Allons-y!

Coucou (Hi). We are 3 or 4 French speakers here.

What do you need help for? Are you planning to visit France?

Thank you Bro David, you came just in time,I'm very pleased I have a good number of you available to help out.you see I'm making very good progress in learning the French language but I have been very challenged with some pronunciation, and how to communicate effortlessly.

To begin with, how exactly do I pronounce the indefinite article une,is there any easy way to master it? You won't believe how much effort I have made, but each time think I got it,I quickly realise I'm still far from it.

So far I've tried calling it iyun, yune, uwin.none of these has really been easy to use actually,I need an easy and consistent pronunciation for that article.

Audio files can be attached to posts, but I think what you are describing would be easier to do with a Zoom meeting.

"une" is the feminine indefinite article.

You should not start with "i" or "y" or "iy".

Phonetically, it's /yn/

You put your lips as if to say "oo" but say "ee" instead.

Yeah... Set your mouth for the sound "oo".

Think about the position of your tongue, quite central, right? Advance it to make it touch lightly your bottom front teeth.

The sound should become a nice /y/.

Then add a quick /n/ and it's done.

The link in my previous post has a good sound

I'm feeling that it may not be helpful giving too much attention to the rule of grammar in learning french, the rules may perhaps be distracting sometimes.

So I'm thinking its better and faster to learn expressions and how to use them in communication.do you think this approach is good?

I'm currently learning to  sing the song Aiçha by Khalid.have you listen to the song?

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.
