(Hope you enjoy this poem... I write when I am going thru anxiety)

 *From a guest....*

I was invited
to the most wonderful place ,
a place  beautiful to watch
 with a lengthy gaze.

I won the race in my mother's womb...
having no idea
that one day I would also see the tomb.

I cherished  my days
from flying in the air
 till my legs wobbled and
 touched the hard ground.

crawling in  unknown ways
I was blessed with devoted care..
and enjoyed the sun's rays
upon my body bare.

as the days melted away
I begin my  journey ranting.
I saw the flowers swinging in array
And felt that no one could do better dancing.

As l started to grow
with dark mustaches and thickened brows
I  met my eve
 and it became a eve.

life seemed beautiful
though my brain was dull o dull.

I slowly started to awaken
for my affair left me shaken
I was now risen
to life's full passion.

and pursued my days in search of
gold and butter
for life without bread was bitter.

during that time I found you O Creator
And learnt that you are life's narrator .
Then my quest
Became a  non  ending zest.

But I had ways to go
And rays to follow
Before I allowed the earth to swallow.

And as I was climbing my age..
I understood that this life is not less than a cage
And the numbers of my life
Were part of a two sided ladder.

The realization that I was not a permanent member
But a guest ...
was not easily digested for I was not ready for the deep slumber.

I want to pour out my pain
People never knew it because they saw me crying only in the rain
But you O lord..
you know the heart
and you know the beat..

Pls give me the strength and grace
to continue on this life's cart
And make it a beautiful art

Help me balance my race with a shining face

I thank you for being the best host
To let your guest
Get a glimpse of your tender love
and live cuddled till my body goes to deep rest.

Nice poem. I'm terrible with poetry so i respect people that can write poems.

My best poem is:

Roses are red,

Violets are blue

I wrote this poem,

Just for you...

I understand it Dilip!   It makes sense and is beautiful both.

The line: "I understood that this life is not less than a cage" resonates with me.

During my prayer this morning, it occurred to me that we are wandering (not aimlessly) around in a desert as the Israelites had done.

Ours is a desert of wickedness, godlessness, corruption and vanity.

Yet, while in this desert, Jehovah provides everything we need. Food, water, love and hope.

We are in a desert cage, a "great and fearsome wilderness".  But Jehovah is watching over us.

Loved your poem
