JW Drive

Has anyone noticed a new addition in JW HUB, JW Drive?  According to its help section, it is based on Nextcloud.  Maybe soon, we can integrate congregation files there.  Very interesting.

 

Edit:  I think JW Drive showed up because I was added to a new domain.  Maybe this is not new after all.

Hopefully, we can store our Personal Study backups there.

That's connected to your convention. You must be one of the overseers or an assistant to one of the departments. That's how they're sharing all the numerous documents we have related to a convention and set up and instructions.

An elder here in the congregation showed me the name JW Drive a few weeks ago, we were very excited thinking about the purpose of this resource and that it would be something for all ministerial servants and elders.

 

When I looked in my JW Hub, there was nothing about it. So talking with him, we concluded that it would be something just for elders at the moment. But now I understand that at the moment it should only work for specific responsibilities.

 

Maybe this is just the beginning of something bigger.

Yeah. It is.  Figured it out when I also asked another elder if he saw it, and he said no and I noticed that I was indeed part of one of the convention departments.  I still think it is pretty cool that we are utilizing cloud solutions now.  It is very practical.

I saw it in 2020 when I was connected to the convention domain before the convention was cancelled.
