Not true here - inactives still show at bottom of list. NWP 4.1.6

I'm only guessing here. The instructions are that inactive ones must be assigned to a group so that they are taken care of, but they should not appear in the group listing at the announcement board.

 

So could it be that elders still see the inactive ones but publishers do not? Although I don't think publishers see the Publishers' section at all.

I'm using NWP 4.1.6 and the Inactive ones are still appearing with each group. Are you an elder or MS? As Carlos says, that information may be restricted to just elders.

I'm the CoBoE and NWS/NWP Administrator ... they were showing for elders only in NWP but now are not. They are still listed in NWS under Groups, so not sure what the lack of display in NWS is about. There is no mention of inactives on the group list the is published in Documents for all publishers of course.

The inactive are still showing for us.

You might try:

NW Publisher App > App Administration dropdown - choose "Group" > Click "Refresh Selected App Data"

Before you do that go to "Shared Persons" and make sure all of your brothers are on the same version. This is the very type of thing that can happen when everyone is not in synch with the same NWS version. Even just one brother on a different version can result in missing or incorrect data on NWP.

I don't have the answer, but you might try changing the view in NWS so no one can see the inactive, send it, then change the view back to elders and send it again. I think that would be the NWP App Settings page in NWS and it's the Spiritual Information in the Elders column under the ME section. I've heard that toggling things can fix them.

 

Are all the elders having the same problem or is it just your device?

If it's just your device, then the NWP>About>Refresh Data may help.

all elders were having the issue ... took your advice and now all fixed. I've given same advice to others when glitches occur but it didn't occur to me 😒... thanks. Tortuga

Firstly I'm surprised you have registered addresses in W.A. Besides that it's difficult to distinguish the boundaries between blocks. It so happens you have a public walkway to work out the boundaries between block 4 and 5. However we sometimes don't have that sort of landmark. BTW how did you add those large red text block numbers?

Yes - several brothers here are using it on Android - usually on a tablet. We have had 0 glitches over a good 2-3 months. No data loss at all.

For NWS Mobile: Once I enable, is there a way to restrict shared persons from the mobile version while I test?

I don't see any way to PREVENT others from installing the mobile version. However, suppose you just quietly started using it yourself - it might be a while before the other brothers became aware. Perhaps you could gain a few weeks of testing that way.

 

However, you actually might have a way to restrict others from USING the mobile version until you finish your trial. They will need the system password to activate the mobile version. Most of our brothers just used that password once in the past (when they installed the original Scheduler) and then forgot about it. So, if that is true of your brothers, you actually hold the key! When they ask you for that password, perhaps you can use your elder skills to encourage them to wait a little longer until you finish the trial.🫤

Thanks much. Apparently I have trust issues..... haha. I've actually put out on a chat we have that we are testing. Sounds like it is ready for use so we are excided. We have been using the software for several years and it's been great. Have a high publisher use percentage of NWP so it's goin over very well.
