If there are any sizable X flares from this ginormous sunspot, it could spell big trouble

for any and all electrical systems on our planet, because Earth would take a direct hit.

I have several pairs of eclipse glasses, but there is currently so much smoke over us,

from the wildfires up in Canada, that you can't even see the sun. 😎
