On the Gravestone

Recommended Posts

There have been some lighter moments regarding expressions on gravestones:

* Blown upward, out of sight, he sought the leak by candlelight

* John Edwards who perished in a fire. None could hold a candle to him

* She lived  with her husband of fifty years, and died confident of a better life

* In loving memory of Frank Stainer of Staffordshire who left us in peace 18th May 1907

* Here I lie and no wonder I'm dead, for the wheel of the wagon went over my head

* Under this stone my husband does lie, he's now at peace and so am I

My apologies to anyone who thinks this thread is inappropriate

However, there are likely to be quite similar and humorous light-hearted expressions too, where you live?

Here lies Murphy, who was shot one fine day

He tried to live the life of Riley, while he thought Riley was away..

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
