I've never had the flu and am seldom sick, but when it rains for days on end, I get a good book and vegetate until it is over. Grumpy cooks for me.:bouncing:

2 cents worth::tea:

Make a cup of hot toddy ( Hot water, lemon juice, whiskey, honey), :coffee:

take a warm bath of sea salt,

then make the home warm and cozy

and rest up a bit to regain strength.

Hope you recover soon.:sunshine:

Thanks Luna I had heard of that. I will do it thanks.

I like to curl up on the couch or my easy chair with an afghan, a cup of hot tea, and a good book or one of the publications, and read. My hubby too cooks for me. Also chicken soup (preferably homemade, but if not, canned is okay). Back home in Jersey we called it Jewish penicillin. Turns out that a scientific study proves chicken soup works. Hope you are getting better Gabe! :kisscheek:

I don't get sick alot, but when I do, I just try to take it easy and rest.

As to how to stay positive when it's raining, I love the rain!! I would be content to live somewhere where it rained daily. Just love the rain, cloudy skies and snow, don't like the sun.

You live in the wrong city. :P

My city survived a 10 year drought a while back . .no countable rain for over seven years . . I wondered if we would all be asked to move away. Water became very short in supply.

We have had 3 good, wet years now and things don't look so bleak from that angle now. It is not uncommon around here to be at the shops or work . .and when we all hear heavy rain . .most people stop what they are doing and go out to look . *seriously* we all LOVE rain too. We have seen what happens when you dont't get any for a long time and we never take it for granted now.

Dawnmarie and Ava, you obviously should not live in the Sun Belt. Make room for people who like the sun. :yes: You two can have Seattle or England. :tongue:

One of many reasons my ancestors left OLD England...& Tea

But could be that it proved to be a blessing in disguise!
