Things that make you go "hmm...."

The USS Titanic sank on April 15th and in the US, taxes are due on April 15th.

That's the day the US Taxpayer hits the IRS-berg and sinks into debt..

I was going to mention frozen assets unless you get to the bank in time, but I thought that might be too much.

At least the Titanic only sank once. The taxpayer relives it every April.

My Brain (sees mention of the titanic) :NOOOOOO!!

The conspiracy theorist side of me: PEOPLE WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR US PAYING TAXES WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE TITANIC BUT WAS TOLD IT WAS GOING TO SINK, AND IT ENDED UP SINKING BUT THE PERSON THAT OWNED THE TITANIC MADE IT SINK ON PURPOSE SO THEY CAN COLLECT THE INSURANCE ON THE SHIP (gets dragged away while still yelling out theories)

Apparently, the notion that the Titanic was unsinkable was an April Fools joke that was 2 weeks late.

So, how did the owner put the iceberg in front of the Titanic and convince the captain to hit it?

I tried to claim the sinking feeling as a deductible emotional expense… denied.

Hey, it's just a theory, A BOAT THEORY.

But i may have some of the theory confused and mixed up, its not really one i talk about often. But shoot its not like other people havent sacrificed their lives in the hopes/beliefs they'd get something out of it 🤷🏿‍♀️

Just remember that a conspiracy theorist takes a slight possibility and tries to turn it into a high probability. Don't get sucked in..

One fact that contributed to Titanic sinking was weakened structure by bad fire. Can't remember when it happened but sometime between launching and voyage into history. It's older sister ship sailed for years.

Consciousness, that annoying time between naps!

Yes, the coal that was stored on board to stoke the boilers was smoldering before it left port. It is not a isolated case, but that is what happens when coal was loaded onto ships in the past. This is still is monitored today when coal is loaded onto cargo ships and rail carts, as when coal can rub together which creates friction, which then turns to heat, then into a smolder, thus lastly into a fire when there is plenty of air around it.

Also too, steel plate manufacturing and consistency in its making was not as good in those days too, as it too may have contributed to the problem with the heat of the fire, stress on the structure of the ship, let alone the tear in its hull.

"The Titanic had two sister ships. She was preceded by the Olympic (1911 to 1935) and she was followed by the Britannic (1914 to 1916). The Britannic also sank, but the Olympic had a long life until she was retired."

My dear (exposes lab coat, crazy hair, and cork board with tons of strings and photos on it) dont you know i was a CT before becoming a witness. I was sucked in for decades (manaical laughter and goes back into my lab of crazy theories and concoctions)

Also, dont you know that most of the time the difference between a conspiracy theory and facts is about six months? 🫣

  • 2 weeks later...

During his talk this morning Bruce the moose ( even his fleshly brothers called him that decades ago )

used an illustration of a glass jar ( he had one on platform ) and monkey trap - with fruit inside. Then he put in his cell phone inside and showed he could not get his hand out while holding onto phone.

Spoiler

He mentioned he caught to WT study conductors with this trick! 🤣

Try just holding the jar upside down. The phone will shake out.

Note: so does fruit.

I used the monkey trap illustration before, it's an effective illustration.

I've stolen the frog in the pot of water from Dante's peak analogy and used it as a comment once. However i amde sure to tell the brothers/sisters who told me they likes that comparison where i stole it from (with a quick synopsis of the movie (its your classic volcano exploding and people are trying to survive the aftermath movie for those who dont know))

Octopuses have three hearts.

Two pump blood to the gills, and one to the rest of the body.

But here’s the kicker:

That third heart stops when they swim.

So technically… swimming is stressful for an octopus.

They’d rather crawl than get cardiovascularly dramatic.

Meanwhile, humans have one heart…

and we get anxious just thinking about swimming.

Jehovah made a creature with three hearts that hates cardio

and gave it camouflage, jet propulsion, and ink defense—

but no backbone.

Literally. No spine.

Yet it escapes sharks with style.
