That's good, turns out the tacos they made using acorns was more to their alien taste buds liking. As pleasing the corn tacos were to them, they were pleasantly surprised at the improved taste of acorn tacos.

That's bad ... because unbeknownst to us humans, the aliens are extremely paranoid and superstitious by nature. Upon checking the human archives the aliens discovered a reference to a song by Dean Martin in connection with oak trees and the color yellow. This made them think conspiratorially, that "DMV" may be code for: "Destroy [the] Martian Vermin!" — especially given their other discovery of our use of the term "Martian" has connections with what could be the human tendency to see all other-worldly beings as a threat to human existence based on the scare of H.G. Wells "War of the Worlds".

 

Added to their fears, the voice of Dean Martin—which at times is purposely misspelled and mispronounced "Dean Martian" for humor-sake among humans—sounded strangely ominous and threatening to their ears. Additionally, the "yellow" is in their world (and coincidentally ours) a signal color calling for caution; danger ahead. All of this was just too much coincidence to be ignored by the aliens. They felt very threatened by this new development.
