What are your Bus laws?

Yesterday after I took my girls to school. on the way back I saw a bingle happen 2 cars infront of me. The Bus had decided to pull out which meant one car near him had to stop and give way which meant the driver behind her had no were else to go except into the car..Our Laws in Aussie is we have to give way to let the Bus in. there has been a few miss calls. I just wondered what other countries rule is on giving way to the Bus?

"It's a known fact that eighty decibels of rushing water is one of the most pleasing sounds known to mankind. On other hand, ten and a half days at sea is enough water for anybody."

My mom was a school bus driver for 30 yrs. I will admit, I don't like bus drivers, lol. But I do understand a bit how hard there job is. My mom would often pull out in front of people, but as she said, "I have no choice, no one lets the school buses out" They are on strict time constraints as well, so they often have to do things they may not normally do while driving their car. Growing up with a parent driving a bus, I have learned to be a bit more lenient towards them. I try to let them out whenever I can.

The bus laws in Oregon are about the same as elsewhere. Yield to the bus if it has it's turn signal on. There has been a lot of fatalities here with bus drivers not yielding to pedestrians and bicycles. At times it gives one the feeling that they think they own the road. They are finding out differently.
