Fewer videos on JW?

I don't know what you all think, but it seems to me that very few videos were published on JW.ORG during 2025.

How many did you count for 2025 compared to last year?

I don't have the exact number. But, for example, there were no reports of branch visits, or new videos in the "Bible" section. What was consistently posted were the morning worship talks.

Are the morning worship programs posted not videos? What is the actual numbers of videos, all of them including morning worship, Caleb, whiteboards, original songs, organizational accomplishments and other videos?

Not sure about the number of videos, but the number of written articles has decreased.  In 2025 there wasn't been a single Young People Ask, Help for the Family, Bible Verses Explained, Was it Designed or From Our Archives article published.  I think they have been discontinued, some of which in favour of videos (like Reasons for your Faith, For a Happy Marriage).  New Bible Changes Lives stories, Was it Designed and Imitate their Faith now seem to be videos only.

 

Some videos are included as part of Monthly broadcast, and then later posted as a separate video, which may make it appear like there are less videos published.

There is the facility to downloaed .pdf or text versions of the videos for those who need or miss the written format. Very useful for the Morning Worship series for example.

Do you think the completion of the Ramapo project will see increased video output?

Fluctuations in the number of videos released are normal and expected. A lot of it depends on different factors. These days, we tend to produce videos only when they truly serve a clear purpose for our meetings, ministry, or personal study. We can’t realistically keep producing videos that most of us will only watch once.

 

Our video library has grown so large that many videos are no longer watched or used regularly. On top of that, videos take weeks or even months to produce, and they require significant resources. Hosting and displaying videos on the website also comes with ongoing operational costs.

 

The same idea applies to articles as well. We now focus on producing articles only when they serve a clear purpose and reflect what readers are actually interested in. It doesn’t make sense to keep using our time and resources on content that people are not consistently engaging with. Many of the articles we already have continue to serve their purpose effectively, so there isn’t always a need to keep adding more.
