Need help! I hit my head last night!

I was in the bathroom, cleaning up, and accidentally slipped backwards and hit my head against the wall of the bathroom. I did throw up after five minutes, but after drinking Paracetamol, the pain and dizziness was over. Do I still need a CT Scan? Or is this okay?

I do have a bump on the right side of my head that hurts when I put pressure on it.

I would go to the doctor or ER to make sure everything is ok.

Best go and get it checked out. Especially when it is to do with the head. It would be even better to get someone to drive or take you there.

Joy, I hope you went to the hospital or your doctor and had this checked out. It's always better to know what exactly has happened so you know if you will be okay. Please keep us posted. I miss your great comments.

You really should go the doctor about this. My daughter had a cracked skull after her dog's head banged into hers playing outside one day.

Thank you! Actually, all of you said pretty much the same thing that people here told me - GO SEE A DOCTOR. I'm scheduled for a check up, but not till next week. All of the specialists are gone for the holidays. My head stopped hurting after 48 hours, but of course I still need to see a doctor and get it scanned.

Did you lose consciousness when you fell? This is important to tell the doctor when you see him. If you notice any bleeding from the ears or nose, you need to get to the ER IMMEDIATELY. I don't want to scare you, but as a nurse, I have seen many falls take a turn for the worse. Hopefully yours will turn out to be nothing but a bump on the head. Do please let us know what the doctors says when you see him. I will be praying for you.
