Recommended Posts

All righty. This is like a David Letterman countdown. I'll post one mistake that I do not want to repeat in 2013 then you give me one of yours! I will not ever put these Bath and Tile cleaners

LoL Leslie - Did you send yourself into orbit with the reaction when you used the wrong choice then?!

A few winters ago we were sat behind the counter in an upstairs floor of our previous larger Antique Centre. Our little sheltie dog Skip was still with us then and sat under the counter on his blanket. Well suddenly the smoke and fire alarms went off. I announced to customers on both floors that they would have to vacate the building. I picked up our little Sheltie dog Skip and tucked him under my arm to take downstairs. As I went downstairs people were coming out of the doors of the restaurant on the ground-floor and an apartment and asking what was happening. As I passed I was telling them that the smoke/Fire alarms were going and I could smell burning, but did not know where it was coming from, so I was going out anyway. They looked at me a bit odd as I continued downstairs.

It wasn't until I got outside and put Skip down that I realised the end of his wagging thick fluffy tail was smouldering. He had waved it too near a heater we were supplementing the feeble heating with upstairs and I hadn't noticed. He was OK because his tail was as thick as a squirrels's and the charred part was just hair - no where near his bod. But I felt such a silly rushing passed all those people saying I could smell burning and didn't know where it was coming from to set all the alarms off - while leaving whisps of smoke from his tail waving about behind me! Won't wish to do that again!!:blushing::oops:
