Thanks Gabe for responding! I will try and post some photos. Don't expect too much. It is a rural country bar! But for the most part the customers help us out in a pinch, most our blue collar workers or farmers. We do have fun most of the time but it is very taxing on your energies!

Leslie, I know nothing about modern music, but I thought the video was very good. This will bring business into your establishment and thus you will be able to pay the bills. Having been in

business 17 years, I can tell you have a good business sense.

Thank you Helen. He will be playing solo next Sat. 3/2 and then returning with his band on March 16. They appear to be very talented musicians in their own right.

I have read some articles about him that said he was playing at a casino and an old man was seated on the first row smiling t him the whole time and tapping his foot to the beat. The article went on to say that this old man returns to listen to him play every time he has a local appearance. Come to find out the man was an uncle of Stevie Ray Vaughn's and also played with him from time to time. Finally after a show the man approached Harley and told him his background and that watching him was truly like bring his nephew back to life! I am so looking forward to his engagement here.

Harley said he also does some Prince and blues and jazz. I am thinking about getting hom for a Sunday afternoon since no one in the area has live music on Sundays. Just trying to do anything to get the business attention without having to pay for huge advertising whcih is not an option.

WOW...this guy's GOOD!! I love Stevie Ray Vaughn...not surprised Stevie's uncle enjoyed listening to him....

Wish we could all be there...for the entertainment and also those whatchamacallit Bloody Mary drinks with the artery-clogging burgers on them....oh ya--and to hang out with you!!...LOL....

I intend to live forever...so far so good. :D

Don't know what types of acts you like but if you want something a bit different, with a Celtic flair, you might look into Rathkeltair - they are a Celtic band from Jacksonville, Fl.

Their sound is a bit "different" but they have a nice sound. And, until you hear what the "Anti-pyper" (Neil Anderson) does on a bagpipe, you have not really heard a bagpipe! He has been referred to as the "Jimi Hendrix" of the bagpipes and has been credited with helping kick off the Celtic Rock sound.

Don't know what they charge/cost but I know they do local pubs as well as Scottish/Irish festivals.

You can listen to some samples of their music from the link above.

Thank you John. I did enjoy them. I really like a variety of genres. I could not afford their travel expense so we go local. The only reason we are getting Harley Hamm is he is a good friend of one of my husbands and is willing to help us out.

I was not able to video it with my ipad and do him justice with all the activity going on in the lounge--but he was awesome! So much so that we are negotiating with him to play every Sunday evening for a couple of hours and advertise a "Blues, Booze, and Bar-B-Que" event starting in the next couple of weeks. I am trying to research some old classic drinks or maybe a cocktail theme to go with the Blues and Bar=B=Que. I am trying to think of old time famus cocktails. Anyone got any ideas?

i don't know much about cocktails.

How about 007 A Martni. Not Shaken & stirred.

One i liked was the Pineapple & Coconut Rum on ice.

Is the song Blue Berry Hill a Bluessy type of music? Was sunf in happy days.?

Thanks Gabe. I like the 007 Martini idea. The pineapple and Malibu Rum is always good for the ladies who don't know what they want. Not too syrupy sweet and yet on the lighter side of alcohol drink.

I think I will go with the really old drinks you here in the movies--Side Car--Double Old Fashioned- Tom Collins- Harvey Wallbanger-Singapore Sling--ones no one even thinks to order anymore. What I really envision for this place is like a Supper Club. I will be trying out a steak night on Fridays. Hope all goes well.
