interesting. even though the army denies.:

"... A U.S. Army training instructor listed Evangelical Christianity and Catholicism as examples of religious extremism along with Al Qaeda and Hamas during a briefing with an Army Reserve unit based in Pennsylvania, Fox News has learned."

They said Christian military personnel have the right- the God given right and constitutional right.....so we JW do too have that right without being ostrisized that we don't care about other people or our country. We care about the whole world but more so what Jehovah God thinks and how he would feel. That's all I've got to say!

It sounds like those organizations (evangelical Christians, and Catholicism) are getting a taste of their own medicine.

They're often quick to chime-in when those accusations are leveled at Jehovah's Witnesses.

It seems odd that such presentations should in future be cleared with the Military's Chaplain department. That would be like going to a paedophile priest to ask his permission before exposing his misdeeds.

So this slide is what has them upset?

155054=8543-extremism.jpg Isn't it true them extremists CAN be found in ANY religion??? I just don't see this a "story"?? It just sounds like something taken out of context to make a point. And the point being - they (the extremists - yes even "so called" Christians - extremists) feel targeted. Well, shouldn't they feel targeted? I just don't see this as an attack on religion in general - or even Christian religion. But the post just above this one - seem like many of these individuals fit the "extremists" category.

Jerry - Here http://www.fas.org/irp/eprint/rightwing.pdf is a 2009 Report by the Department of Homeland Security asserting the necessity to work with states and local levels of government to prevent and protect against the potential threat to the United States associated with any rise in violent extremist activity. While Homeland Security does not focus on one group, alone, the Report asserts they must protect the country from terrorism whether foreign or homegrown, and regardless of the ideology that motivates its violence, which also include religion(s). IMHO, it clearly appears religions are being targeted. :-)

Absolutely they are, all religions not just Christians -- At some point in time an attack on Babylon takes place, I don't think it unrealistic to make that observation. We don't know how, when or where but it IS going to happen. As stated above it shows a general attitude of distrust towards specific religious groups. Undeniably so.

Here's some others that correlate:

Army training material lists evangelical Christians, Catholics as extremists:

Department of Defense document: Military Police Internment l Resettlement Operations - (An on going project for years) Notice a couple of things about these document. What U.S. enemy do you know of that uses Social Security Numbers?

IDENTIFICATION

7-16. Individual identification photographs are taken of all prisoners. The prisoner’s last name, first name, and middle initial are placed on the first line of a name board, and the prisoner’s social security number is placed on the second line. A prisoner registration number may be added on the third line. Two front and two profile pictures are taken of the prisoner. Fingerprints are obtained according to AR 190-47.

STRATEGIC REPORTING

10-33. Military police will typically be required to account for DCs and report to higher headquarters.

This may require the issuance of ISNs or control numbers that are specific to DCs. Commanders

conducting resettlement operations ensure a proper understanding of the ISN issuance policy before

assigning an ISN to a DC. Even in civil support operations where social security numbers may be used, a supporting system will be required for those without social security numbers.

So basically new groups are being designated as "home grown terrorists" for any number of reasons - whether he's put it into the hearts of human leaders or this is it's natural direction (time and unforeseen occurrence) it's absolutely happening. And by that I mean religious groups are being targeting if they speak out against U.S. policies and practices. If you don't go along then you are a bad guy wanting to overthrow the current government. But since we are not political in any way shape or form where not likely to make the list for awhile :)

I always find comments like "*****" is putting forth his/her "ideas/agenda fill-in-the-blank" as if they're sitting in their ivory towers/offices dreaming this stuff up and commanding minions to "make it so". As has been agreed to here repeatedly, these politicians, of every stripe and flavor, are simply following the marching orders of plans put in place long before they ever are elected and in some cases long before they're even born. They fill the slot for "boogeyman" of the month. "Bush is doing this against America" / "Obama is doing that against the Constitution". Man, they wish they had that kind of power!!! George "dubyuh" even said "a Dictatorship" would be a whole lot easier.

Politics is such a tool against the masses. And they always believe, "boy if we can just get this guy out and that guy/gal in, everything will go back to sweetness and light", and of course it never does. Policies put in place by the last guy, that this guy campaigned against stay in place, are strengthened and added to, "but that's ok because he's our guy and we know, he only has the best interest of the country and it's citizens at heart, not like that last guy".

When you put your trust in earthling man and the sons/daughters of nobles, what do you expect?

And who's surprised that leaders of one country don't particularly like leaders or the policies of another country?

God's Kingdom is what will provide the good government that these commentators, analysts and others are pining away for, but of course they don't want to hear anything about that.

Politics is a great spectator sport, especially once you know the truth.

I also find it interesting that the Army would label Evangelicals as religious extremists, when they have extremists in their own ranks persecuting soldiers who they deem not "Christian" enough for their tastes. Check these articles out...

http://thinkprogress.org/security/2012/05/10/481653/us-military-taught-total-war-on-islam/?mobile=nc

...and the book The Family about religious extremism on Capitol Hill is down right scary,

So, that the Army actually labels Evangelicals as religiously extreme is laugh out loud funny :lol1:

I have to disagree -politics is Not a good spectator sport - it is like watching a bunch of spoiled, moneyed-family children fighting over who has the best "toys" or what ever. It is really discusting if you think about it-while they squabble-people lose everything they have -including their lives.

Consciousness, that annoying time between naps!

Touché. I meant it from the standpoint of Biblical context. Throughout the Scriptures, we read about political intrigue from Saul and David, to Ahab and Elijah, to the Daniel book's discussion of the 4 generals after Alexander the Great's death. Then you come all the way down to today and see that the same attitudes are prevalent despite the passage of time.

I in no way think that the behavior of these people is entertaining for the sake of amusement. It just provides proof positive that man really does dominate man to his injury, just as Jehovah said so many years ago through Solomon.

They are all puppets and they (both parties) are two heads on the same snake. The division is created intentionally and it's a false left right paradigm. This allows them control people like at a football game by getting individuals to take sides with out reason using false narratives as a tool for control.

Of course Satan and his demons are pushing buttons but it's interesting to realize how and who they are using to do so. The usual suspects also have many connections to the U.N.

They fill the slot for "boogeyman" of the month. "Bush is doing this against America" / "Obama is doing that against the Constitution". Man, they wish they had that kind of power!!! George "dubyuh" even said "a Dictatorship" would be a whole lot easier.

Yes, we so need God's kingdom and it's coming quickly. Things are really accelerating.

I agree with you its interesting to watch because they are acting, it's not a real argument between the political parties. You have to watch what the DO and not what they are saying. Because they never do what they say and both sides get what they want - financial crisis? Staged event... both parties want the same thing however if they can get individuals to follow the false left vs right paradigm and Hegelian Dialectic it looks like something other then what it really is.

(2 Peter 2:19) “While they are promising them freedom, they themselves are existing as slaves of corruption. For whoever is overcome by another is enslaved by this one.”

It is really discusting if you think about it-while they squabble-people lose everything they have -including their lives.

That is intentional... it's not by mistake. All the more disgusting.
