  1. I recently saw an upholstered chair in a dumpster, so I took the four screw-on legs from it. They appear to be a dense white wood that hopefully is easy to hand carve. I just haven't decided what to do with them.
  2. I was having the same issue but it seems to have been resolved. I have a Samsung android device using Chrome to access WOL and I can see the entire caption on images now.
  3. Do you have any suggestions for my first project? I have a lathe and tools. Where do you get your wood?
  4. John, I have a lathe but I haven't used it in years. Now I'm interested in making a bowl to see if I can do it.
  5. Try baby shampoo, you will never cry again....
  6. Several months ago I helped with the bathroom partitions on a KH remodel. The partitions are made of HDPE, a hard, thick, heavy plastic. I took some scraps home so I could practice removing scratches from it. I decided to carve a small piece that I had leftover.
  7. I recently used an old piece of oak baseboard to make a few ties. Just for fun...
  8. Just to add to your comment, not all crude oil is the same. Venezuela crude is typically heavy, sour and difficult to process. It has to be blended with other crude to be processed in most refineries. Having access to Venezuelan crude oil can supplement but not replace the crude oil the US is currently using.
  9. There is another option you might consider. Download the videos and convert them to MP3 files. I have done that in the past using free software such as GoldWave. If you don't have the times or skills to do that, perhaps someone here can do it for you. The MP3 music files can be organized into albums or playlists by subject or any way you like. You can play them with any media player you may already have. If you decide to do that, please tell us what works for you, others may want to do the same thing.
  10. I think it would be fun to have a variety of microwave oven noises and alarms on my phone and randomly play them when I am at a restaurant...🤣
  11. We need to do a better job of not letting any topic get heated. Our Christian personality shouldn't change behind a keyboard.
  12. I wonder if we will ever say Robots, Androids, Artificial Intelligence..
  13. That might be a mite. It looks a mite small. However, the widow used coins, not bugs.
  14. I have used this several times without any problems Library Helper
  15. Several years ago I bought a bag of replica coins listed on Amazon as Widows Mite. I put some in cardboard coin holders and gave them to the young ones in the congregation. I have also used some in cards, they are very light weight so it's easy to tape two of them inside of a card and give it to someone that is depressed because of their circumstances. I have even put two of them in the congregation contribution box and then quietly waited to see the brothers reaction when he collects the money. I'm thinking of doing that at an Assembly or Convention one day, just for fun...
  16. I appreciate Zeph 1:14, 15. I know you like deep research, I think you will enjoy researching that scripture.
