  1. United for Peace Resolution, that's what is being discussed right now. https://www.securitycouncilreport.org/whatsinblue/2022/02/ukraine-vote-on-draft-uniting-for-peace-resolution.php
  2. I see similarities from the past, Kaiser Wilhelm 2nd and Hitler, their thirst for the power and glory of former times, to recover what was ¨taken from them¨ moved them to start the worst conflicts in the history of mankind. Putin is following closely on their steps. The world is different now though, globalization and the INTERNET made the countries interdependent like never before. The UN either acts or it will ultimately end like the League of Nations.. According to our bible understanding, that is not a possibility so I believe we are at the doors of something huge. Hopefully is the beginning of the GT.
  3. I don´t know friends, this time seems to be different. A major member on the UN being put on the spot by the whole UN, not a terrorist regime like in the past few decades and wars.
  4. And that makes all the difference. No changes in China´s position, not really surprising let´s see what´s going to come out of it.
  5. Yes, but this was before Russia escalated further by putting the nuclear option on the table. Will they join in condemning Russia as one country after another are doing or will they keep their current position? The nations are challenging that some countries have veto power, something along these lines could be a huge shift enabling the UN to act together and freely. Let´s see what happens.
  6. This is what the brother in the video says: Good morning my brothers and sisters in Portugal. I am in the border of Ukraine with our brothers to find out about our brothers and sisters coming from Ukraine. 6 brothers just arrived, he is mentioning their names and saying they are doing well. He says that he is from the department of accommodations, providing water and some help to the refugees. Sorry, part of it is unintelligible, I understand Brazilian Portuguese but Portuguese from Portugal is a little bit more difficult.
  7. Hello friends. I am waiting for China´s stand in the UN meeting on this developing situation, which may give me an idea of what´s to come. Very interesting times. I agree with the previous comments that these look like events previous to WW2 an aggressive nation invading another, world condemnation but the league of nations ultimately failing to prevent war. The UN should be coming together with a strong ultimatum to Putin. If the UN is not able to put a stop to this it would expose itself as a worthless organization incapable of preventing the very same actions and reasons it was created for. If our current understanding of Bible prophecies is correct, I am hoping that a shift this time may accelerate events leading to the GT. May Jehovah protect our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and Russia.
  8. Dear friend.

Thank you so much for that beautiful card, we will treasure it the rest of our life. It cheered us up in a sad day. Proof that Jehovah is using His faithful servants as yourself to comfort and upbuild those who are sad.

We love you deeply and ask Jehovah that he blesses you and your hubby.

    Forever yours,

    Antonio Ojeda

Isn’t it something that we have to wade through what we wade through, and there is something waiting for you. That is another challenge. Reminds me of a circuit overseers that said life seems to be a, “catastrophe, with intermittent tragedies in between.”.

Transition is always hard, and, from one country to another, I can’t imagine.

That being the case, what I can do, is go to Jehovah, and ask that your load be lightened , to where it is not sadness, but a minor irritant. To halfway quote a Rod Stewart song, “Your on my mind, and in my heart”.

You and your dear wife, and precious son.

      It will get better.

      Much Christian Love, YS,  Bea

Brother, someone needed to hit me over the head with a, “clean your inbox out”. You have my permission, if this ever happens again!

      Sorry!

  9. Thank you for your advice, Sister Leslie. Yes please, you can send the information to my private inbox. Thank you so much for your kind advice.
  10. Thank you friends, your love really moves me!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart..
  11. Dear Lucy, thanks for replying. I need help with the US taxes.
  12. Dear Friends, as you may already know, my wife initiated a family-based immigration petition for me and my daughter a year ago, which was approved. Now we are in the process of requesting the visa in order for us to leave Venezuela. However, we`ve hit a roadblock regarding my wife taxes. Does any of you dear friends have experience in tax returns or has a CPA degree that could help us. We can pay for the work. Much love to you all, Kind regards, Antonio
  13. Brother Immantas, you really have talent! Do you mix those songs on a keyboard?
  14. This is so wrong! Can anyone deny or close their eyes to the reality that we are living in the last days?.
  15. Dear brother Brandon, feel free to ask any quest, if I can be of help then, my pleasure. Agape.
  16. Dear sister Venus, thank you for always having a nice word towards me. You guys in this forum really mean a lot, I'm sorry if I have offended some by telling some situation here in our country, that was never my intention. When I see what the brotherhood is going thru in places like California, México, Russia and thinking about each one of The situations some of you post about your personal Plagues, make me Long for The day when all this won't ever be remembered. Thank you again Sis, and thank you all dear friends for lending an ear. Agape
  17. Hi Brother Brandon, thank you for your continuing interest. That is actually a very good question, my calculations are that at least 20% of the brothers and sisters have emigrated to other countries, mostly Colombia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador and the US, not so much to the USA because they don´t want to be illegal. This year only in my congregation 10 friends have moved elsewhere. I think many more would do so if they had the circumstances. mostly because of the high cost of life and personal security, here if you are robbed at home or at the street, the police won´t even put an investigation in motion. Of course moving to another country is a personal decision, however we the elders try to be sure that they understand that what we are going through is a sign of the end, as Jesus prophesied and that if they decided to move they will just be exchanging some problems for others, but ultimately is their choice. I think that you are absolutely right about trying to change people or improve their situation in life by suggesting solutions, each one of us is in charge of our own lives and a suggestion from others, although appreciated, won´t have the same effect as coming up with a solution by yourself, mostly because no one will have a true understanding of your life as yourself and of course Jehovah. That is why as elders we are always reminded not to give counsel according to our own experiences or expertise and rely on the Bible as the counsels from Jehovah never fail. Thank you for your genunine interest bro Brandon Agape.
  18. Some brothers who have left Venezuela to try to find work in other countries are helping donating electronic funds to their families, these brothers then share with the local brothers, friends and family from some part of the world also are doing that. Sometimes friends who return to visit carry with them small bags with medicine, nothing big (like a full baggage) as they could easily end up in jail accused of trying to introduce prohibited material to the country.
  19. Some links for your research bro Brandon http://money.cnn.com/2017/05/03/news/economy/venezuela-food-prices/index.html http://www.insightcrime.org/news-analysis/corruption-military-police-growing-evil-venezuela http://edition.cnn.com/2017/03/25/americas/venezuela-maduro-un/index.html https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2017/06/22/venezuela-medical-shortages-doctors-health-care/103039928/
  20. I`d say personal security, medicine and food. In the case of food, the problem is that the prices change everyday and the food now is almost unaffordable for a person who ears minimum wage. There is food on the shelves in major supermarkets, but most of the people cannot afford it. In the case of personal security it is a risk to be on the street, even at broad daylight you could be robbed, mugged or killed, easily. There is an increase in news where even some members of the police have been involved in criminal activities.
  21. Exactly as you explained, that`s what we do with the personal donations. Communications here in Venezuela work somewhat well, cellular phones are very popular, I think Venezuela is the latin american country with more cellphones percapita, the goverment has tried to keep the cell companies from elevating prices so the call plans are still affordable, not so much the data plans. The goverment holds the monopoly on internet, it is supplied via Cantv, it works relatively well but it is slow comparing to the standards today. The speediest plan is 10 Mb. However it is subsidized. On the other hand criminals are now stealing the power and telephone cables from houses to take the copper and sell them, so many are without intenet or electricity because of this. Thank you for your concern brother Brandon. Agape.
  22. I`m so sorry for what is happening all over the world. It seems there are no quiet places where to live anymore. The GT seems closer each day that passes. To the brothers in the affected area: May Jehovah give you the strenght and endurance and a quick recovery. Agape
  23. Thank you Sister Rosie, for your beautiful words.
