Origins of Evolution from Ancient Pagan Religions?

Recommended Posts

So today I came across something really fascinating. I was reading about the origins of Chinese dragons and myth. I came across dragon worship and that the ancient Chinese called themselves "decendants of the dragon". And that this ancient belief was very much like modern evolution.

Main article: Longshen

Origin

The ancient Chinese self-identified as "the descendants of the dragon" because the Chinese dragon is an imagined reptile that represents evolution from the ancestors and qi energy.[9] The presence of dragons within Chinese culture dates back several thousands of years with the discovery of a dragon statue dating back to the fifth millennium BC from the Yangshao culture in Henan in 1987,[10] and jade badges of rank in coiled form have been excavated from the Hongshan culture circa 4700-2900 BC.[11] Some of the earliest Dragon artifacts are the pig dragon carvings from the Hongshan culture.

Essentially, reptiles became men over a time span, but this belief had a far more mystical element to it. But what we are seeing really is that... the world is still run by false religion, even amongst "non religious" scientists. We've always talked about how evolution really is in it's self a faith system as you can only go so far with the "evidence". And we see here.. it's nothing new at all. So it's just more modernised Babylon which really is no surprise with the "world in the power of the wicked one". Nothing we see that speaks against Jehovah is free of false religious influence and we know where that comes from.
