Wow, now some guy wants the words "under God," removed because he says their discriminatory. Many are disagreeing, saying it's optional if one recites it in Mass. classrooms...This guys answer, make it mandatory. :o  Wow, if they were to do that, imagine the number of witness children who would end up being homeschooled.

Just more proof we're getting closer to the demise of Babylon the Great!

I live in a temporary reality- awaiting the day I wake up to life in the real world!

The supreme Court has already ruled "mandatory " is not an option.

I was looking at this today and thinking - isn't it amazing how we and our children can stand respectfully and NOT be indoctrinated, but the athiest don't have that same fortitude. They just "hear" the pledge and it is too much. I think they need stronger faith in their beliefs - like we have. Or maybe they realize their faith is useless - so they can only attempt to push it on others - strength in numbers :nope:

Jerry, Atheists have NO faith in their non-belief. That is what makes them atheists.   :lol1:

On this one - I beg to differ.  As much as this drives them CRAZY to admit, they too "believe" or "have faith" in their beliefs.

Atheism is as much a "religion" as anything else.

I know that! But if you tell them this, they won't BELIEVE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!   :uhhuh:  Being an atheist is like not believing in anything. It is a no win situation.

I once had an argument with my Grandmother (the witch). I quoted scripture to her. Satan's reply through her lips were, "The bible was written by men so you cannot use the bible to prove anything!" That totally disarmed me (I was new in the truth). She then used the bible to disprove what I had just said. Immediately holy spirit gave me a comeback scripture. She interrupted, stating the same thing about men's words. I shut up.

My Mom had been watching us and made this observation, "Isn't it interesting that she cannot use the bible, because they are men's words, but YOU can!!!"

This is how Satan the devil works. He can use anything to prove his point, even the bible.... but we can't. He told the first lies, but he made it seem it was God who was lying. He was a manslayer when he began but he made it appear that God was with holding something precious from the first couple and they would not die. This is his MO. He is the fly in the ointment and always stinks up the joint. He can use any argument but we can't. Smoke and mirrors to deflect any look of evil in him. And he is always right - just ask him! LOL

I think she was making a joke, Jerry. At least, I believe that's what :lol1: means.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.
