Reminds me of the Lutheran Church down the road from my Kingdom Hall. Last year the sign read "Not all Lutherans are the same" for a while. It made me really thankful that in Jehovah's organization no matter where you go it is all the same. I think it was a jab at the other Lutheran Church on the next street over, but it amazed me that they were having a spat with signs.

Here is a tutorial in our FAQ on shrinking images down to size using free software called the GIMP...

I personally use Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 which has a rectangle select tool, which allows me to select the portion of an image I want to keep. Then in the Image drop down menu along the top of the screen, there is an option to Crop.

After this, I can choose File -> Save for Web and save it as a jpg file, and right before saving it asks me if I would like to change the images dimensions, which I make sure are under 125x125 for an avatar.

Most other photo and imaging editing software has similar functions.
