Monster jellyfish could have killed 120 people, says expert The Courier-Mail.htm

TWO monster sized box jellyfish found by lifeguards at a North Queensland beach would have been capable of killing 120 people, according to an expert.

The large marine stingers, each measuring 30cm in bell diameter, were discovered alive after they washed up on the shore of Balgal Beach, 60km north of Townsville on Wednesday.

Surf Life Saving Queensland Townsville region lifeguard supervisor Russell Blanchard said the lethal jellyfish were the largest caught this season.

Zeph 3:17 Jehovah your God is in the midst of you. As a mighty One, he will save. He will exult over you with rejoicing. He will become silent in his love. He will be joyful over you with happy cries....... Love it....a beautiful word picture.

Yes Turtles love to eat Jelly fish.

I watched a doc on The Great Barrier Reef. recently, it was an eye opener. there is a complete sustanable ecco system.

a stringray will burry itself in the sand only to be discovered & eaten by a Hammerhead.

Turtles eat the Jellyfish. then they showed other fish that lived inside of these Jellyfish, a Seacucumber was a place for a breed of fish to hide.

But someone asked is normal to get these Monsters. just lately even down in the South I have been seeing creatures in the sea that you would only spot in Queensland.

My hubby has been diving last weekend in Narooma & found a type of Puffer fish you only find,, he googled it & found its location on the other side of Africa.

another time he found some type of plant * it was white in color * from some where past the Phillipines.

I spotted at Dalmeny river which is 3 hrs drive or so from me. A massive fat jellyfish with these spearhead style tentacles & I only have ever seen something similar on Coolongatta Beach last year except they were blue.

I have been going to the ocean everyday * the water is warm as bath water. It usually has a cool refreshing note to it. but lately no. which is different for summer.
