Making moonshine today.

Recommended Posts

Getting my truck serviced now and thinking of a way to make Pecan Praline Moonshine. No recipes can I find to even point me in a creative mode so I will have to try a small batch and wait a few weeks before I make any adjustments. I am making a Vanilla Peach Dumpling, Blackberry Cobbler, Cherry Pie, Caramel Apple Pie, and a Brandied Peach for sure. I purchased the fruits, juices, mason jars, decorative labels, and tags to can them in-I'm excited to try this venture today!

If anyone has an idea for Pecan Shine---I would love to hear it !

Thank you! It's not moonshine made from a still ---like you see on TV ----but rather a homemade fruit base that you add to a 190proof grain alcohol. It is controlled by the ABLE commission (alcohol beer llqour ) and we sell it in our bar and grill. It is fun experimenting with the amazing variety that is offered and coming up with something that is uniquely yours.

I am aware if the dangers of a real still but this is just adding to and already grain no taste alcohol where it adapts to your creation.

Leslie hi if you go to jack keller site he has a reciepe for a praline wine accorrding to his web site pecans are hard to do as the oil in them seperate andgo rancid. Also check out the forum at the wine makers toy store.the people on there are nice and very helpful and its seems I read on there someone made pecan wine.

You could probably market your mixture (without the alcohol) to sell to people and they can take it home and add their own alcohol.  It all sounds so yummy!

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D
