Raw Honey

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the info Sister Lisa :)

Do you or anyone know where we can buy Raw Honey?

Because the article said this:

"However, since store-bought honey doesn't contain the living lactic acid bacteria,

many of its unique properties have been lost in recent times,"

"Create in me a pure heart, O God, And put within me a new spirit, a steadfast one" (PS 51:10)

Around here we can find Raw Honey at "roadside stands" that some of the beekeepers operate. Also, at some of the Farmer's Markets.

"Let all things take place decently and by arrangement."

I normally purchase raw honey from either local health food stores or organic stores.  Be sure to look for local made honey from your area as the pollen it contains is beneficial for your health.

Great for cuts and wounds and works on insect stings as well - when my daughter was about 10, she badgered me into letting her use the lawnmower, and within a minute she lost control and it dragged her into a flowering bush - small bees stung her about a dozen times.  Immediately poured honey over the stings and the pain disappeared within a couple of minutes.   We do have our own non-stinging native bee hive for pollination (which only produces about a tablespoon of excess honey each year) so we buy it from a local beekeeper and make sure we always keep plenty on hand.  Its a good sugar replacement too.

Wow, when I was fourteen I caught my foot under my lawn mower!  It was the year I was in a drama at the yearly convention too.  Wish I knew about raw honey back then - I might have grown back that half of my foot! (LOL)

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D
