Your greatest pleasure

Recommended Posts

A year or so ago the Daily Telegraph newspaper in Britain reported the result of a survey

to find out what the top 50 pleasures in life were.

If you are interested you can check the link here:

But it was interesting that number 1 was......

"A good night's sleep"

I can kind of agree with that ..

But how about you ?

As a witness, what is the number 1 on your list?

Apart from all the important spiritual pleasures: A Day out at an Agricultural Show to see lovely cows, goats, horses, sheep and lambs, chickens and ducks at their best. See the craft-tents showing off what farmers wives and village children can do and the best baking prizes on tasty looking cakes, bread, cookies, jam and wine. Tents of 'best flower arrangements' or 'biggest home grown vegetable' competitions. Demonstrations of how to milk goats, train dogs or how to do beekeeping. Other tents are family or local history tents with old photo's of the area and it's local families in the past.In the central ring there's horse show-jumping; or terrier racing. Also, the shepherds working their sheep dogs with a flock of sheep or geese. Out in the nearby fields there are fell-running competitions, hound-trailing or falconry demonstrations.Vintage steam driven farm machinery is shown as well as stands for modern air conditioned tractors with radio GPS and modern ploughing and haymaking or milking equipment.Trade stands for charities country pursuits and sports. Lot's of mobile caterers vans with tea/coffee and barbecued food cooked there and sold. It is a great day out and intrepid British go even if it's bucketing with rain and we are all wading in our wellington/rubber boots and have to have tractors to tow our cars off the boggy specially set aside fields for parking!! We must find a way to keep such interesting fun going in the New World.

I agree...

and about spirituality, i'd choose : reading Paul letters (especially Romans, Corinthians and Hebrew)

The letters of Paul are my favorite part of the Bible too, especially 2 Corinthians and Philippians.

I also like 2 Peter.

For me is reading and researching spiritual matters. How I love my WT cd! :)

“Y procedió a clamar como un león: ‘Sobre la atalaya, oh Jehová, estoy de pie constantemente de día, y en mi puesto de guardia estoy apostado todas las noches’.” (ISAÍAS 21:8.)

ME TOO!! I get so lost in my research........I have had to learn to stay on the subject at the time - I write myself notes so I can go back to research something else. Jehovah certainly takes care of us and we will NEVER learn enough!

I am going to have to go with - early morning walks with my wife and the dog around the neighborhood and park ;)

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Soon .....
