Reminded me why I'm not so fond of Latin, or more accurately, Late-Latin, even though I love many Latin-based languages!

Bye the bye. It is not called "Late-Latin". Latin is not late for anything.

There is "ecclesiastical Latin" of the Catholics, then there is Latin, usually from the time of Jesus and 1st 3 centuries.

 

Just remember when angry, don't count to 10 in Latin -- uno duo tres... Deck'im ( decum )

My wasted youth - in middle school I studied Latin (2 years.)  I wish I had studied Greek, instead, while I had the energy to memorize for hours at a time.

I took Latin for 3 years, and French ( 1955 edition of Parisian French ) for 5 and they tried to teach me English all my school years.!

I just barely squeaked thru in English

 

It is so confusing. Trying to learn English when some of our favorite TV channels & most shows

back then came from those speaking American . We got 3 Buffalo stations.

Post Scripta  They hadn't invented cable TV back then - it was Antenna reception - hmmm- same as I do now, although sum tymes ah does watch stuff online
