Adopted as sons of God - what an amazing prospect!

On the other hand, human adoption can be traumatic and life altering. I met my bio Dad when I was 20 and a stranger walked up to me on the Street and said he was my 'real' father. The joke was on me, he certainly was, (not the person on my Birth Certificate, my mother's husband) as I had believed. I once met one cousin on my paternal side and frequently have, unsuccessfully, tried to hound him down

A dear sister relinquished a daughter she bore out of wedlock. She went on to get married and had several children. Eventually she re-united with her first daughter and has a single picture to commemorate the moment. "That's it," she told me. "Five minutes with all my children together, just one time. "

I'm a bit fascinated with the Learning Channel's, Long Lost Family. Yes, there are callous News stories of babies being trash-canned, but even though my bio dad never held me, I dedicate this song to parents who were separated from their offspring:

When I first read of Nancy Yuen, it was part of an article (We had a list of articles to read before pioneer school) about the two brothers (?) who were imprisoned and mentioned her imprisonment, and that she was separated from her four children. I always wondered about their outcome. I was glad to read on this site that at least her youngest came into the truth.  The article about brothers King and Jones ( and Sister Yuen) made me cry.

Incidentally, the sister I was thinking of in the original post is our spiritual sister, not fleshly.
