breaking news ...apparently... How humans evolved from RODENT that lived in China 160m years ago 25th August 2011 Humans began with a rodent-like creature which scurried about in bushes and trees 160million years ago, according to scientists. Named the "Jurassic mother from China" (Juramaia sinensis), the newfound fossil species is the earliest known ancestor of placental mammals—animals, such as humans, that give birth to relatively mature, live young—according to a new study. The 160-million-year-old specimen pushes back fossil evidence for the evolutionary split between the placental and marsupial lineages by 35 million years. Although it's unclear if the creature is a direct ancestor of modern placentals, it's "either a great grand-aunt or a great grandmother," the study authors say. Placentals—including creatures from mice to whales—are all that remain of the so-called eutherian mammals, of which J. sinensis is the oldest known specimen.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2029844/We-evolved-rodent-lived-China-160m-years-ago.html Dino-era Mammal the "Jurassic Mother" of Us All? But the sad fact is ...

that so called educated people will believe this...

and then they have gall to say how simple-minded you are... if you believe that a supreme being Jehovah God created the Universe and put in place all known physical laws and processes that shape the universe and everything in it.

It's amazing how when scientists find a bit of old skeleton of anything they invent a whole story around it and it becomes 'gospel' and accepted and no one can question it. I remember a few years ago paleontologists found some bits of skeleton in a cave on Flores Island Indonesia and had artists do pictures and whole life stories written about this Homo Floresiensis, pigmy missing link - ancient chimplike human:

47573=2287-homofloriensis.jpg While all the publicity for the Western scientists went on, the local Indonesian Scientists were ignored. One eventually came on Brisith TV with a documentary bringing in front of the camera such Pigmies with chimpanzee size skulls existing even now and they are entirely Homo Sapien, just a genetically diseased version of a normal Pigmy person of today who is born with only part of the brain in a tiny skull. They cannot function as normal individuals, needing care like babies all their lives and then die young. However, the Science World did not want to believe it , they had built up so much 'storytelling 'and Scientific papers around this 'find', so they set about discrediting the local Scientists. Pride getting in the way of logic as our study in the 'Bearing Thorough Witness' brought out when telling of Saul/Paul's efforts to convince the Jews with his fair argumentation.(1 Corinthians 1:20,21;3:20) China has been unable to produce the famous "Peking Man" missing Link Skull after controversial evidence linked one of the Scientists involved with the find with the Piltdown Man Skull fraud and the Peking Man skull then became ''unavailable for Scientific tests' and disappeared (how convenient!) - The Chinese Scientist are desperate to find other evidence that humans may have started evolving in China rather than Africa as present thinking believes - again National Pride may be a factor here.

People are actually trying to defend this ....this was one of the worst rated comments below the newspaper article...which I just clicked to rate up...but there is quite a bit on both sides for and against...it is good people are thinking on it...and not just accepting it...

"Oh I see, so first we are told that a monkey gave birth to a person and now they expect us to believe that a mouse gave birth to a monkey! Incredible. And yet they deny that a great flood could have taken place. Makes you think doesn't it?"

that's interesting Helen...National Pride may be a factor...I have thought about individual men and companies ( article below)...but not nations...but that would be a logical follow on.

SCIENCE FRAUD

As scientists, we like to think that science is a bastion of virtue, untouched by science fraud.

The perception is that, other than junk science, science should be beyond reproach, unsullied by lies and propaganda. Results should always be regarded as valid and completely unbiased.

Unfortunately, human nature dictates that scientists are human and are always going to be prone to bias and error. Most such mistakes are subconscious, and a result of looking too hard for patterns that are not there.

Unfortunately, there are a number of more sinister cases, where scientists deliberately fabricated results, usually for personal fame. With the advent of corporate and politically funded research grants, poor results are becoming more dictated by policy than by scientific infallibility.

Yes the Chinese are trying to prove 'Out of China' theories as opposed to 'Out of Africa' theories for humankind originating with them:http://www.china.org.cn/e-gudai/1.htm

Also, my husband and I tried to study with a man from Singapore and India who liked the moral values of our faith, but couldn't stand our belief in Creation of Adam and Eve originating in the Mesopotamian area of the World. He called it a Western Imperialist Construct and refused to accept it. India and China, he said, had Independently evolved civilisations. He had been taught this by well respected Science teachers at his school and College. Indian and Chinese peoples did not descend from Middle Eastern early civilisations/Adam or Noah and relied on no one for their knowledge and sent out their science and maths knowledge to the world and we should recognise that and be eternally grateful! We did not realise then that such things were taught in these countries. We tried to placate him with the thought that Adam was no 'race' and when he was created the continents/countries with different peoples did not exist, but the thought that Adam and Eve were a 'gene pool of all peoples' was an anathema to him and just annoyed him, implyiing we were being racist for teaching it (!!) and showed us to his front-door and has since become a do-not-call in the area.

We did some research at the time and discovered that to counteract the Colonial Empire Building of the British, the Hindu Nationalists of India have written their own evolutionary history, totally rejecting the theories of Western 'Christians' that their civilisation was imported from theoretic invasions from the Mesopotamian area and setting out to prove that they are actually an independent civilisation exporting their civilisation to the West.

I would agree that Colonialism has been heavy handed, and sought to impose Western culture by force on local people's. Sadly it did bring Christendom's form of Christianity on it's back and because of its 'Christian' association has put many native people's off the Truth later on. Oppressive Colonialism has thus been a great tool of Satan. I have heard Chinese people refer to Christianity with the proverbial phrase "Jesus came to us on a cannonball" thanks to the Opium Wars and their dealings with duplicitous Jesuits, in the past.

If aliens designed us who designed them?

Over 2 decades ago, Professor Chandra Wickramasingh and astronomer scientist Fred Hoyle proposed this idea saying the seeds for life arrived here on ice in a meteorite as they could not see how life could have had enought time to develop here as the planet in their view was not old enough for all the probablitities to develop life and the early chemistry of the planet would break down anything starting to evolve from scratch as our creation book of 1985 pointed out in chapter 4 and Creator book first 3 chapters. However, they are just putting the same problems of probablity and correct chemical environment further back in time on other planets.

It's like watching a dog running in circles chasing it's tail watching them use this never ending argument isn't it?:?

If the answer turns out to be "aliens that couldn't be designed by anyone" they would have to be made of indestructable focussed intelligent energy that has to be always there to create and break things down, then admit it could be God (of the actual Bible not the version Dawkins has been reading) with Jesus' help and stop kicking against the goads!:hammer:

Exactly. It just begs the question, doesn't it? Just as they use the same argument against theists: If God created everything, then who created God? They think that is a reasonable argument, but not when it is turned around!

I think there may be a bit of truth to the article that some humans did evolve from Rodents, how else could I explain my rat of an ex-husband :D:lol2:

Now, now, now, remember the text on Tuesday.:raspberry:

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

It's a shame that those highly educated people can't grasp what 'fossilization' means. The original carbon make-up of the skeleton has been replaced by, basically, stone by the gradual seeping of something like limestone. If you visit an underground cavern you will see how rock can form in a relatively short time to form stalactites and stalagmites. The thing is; the rock may be dissolved in water, but it's still the same rock that was created at the beginning of the Earth's life. Just because it has replaced the original bones doesn't make it any younger! This seems so logical when you think about it, but palaeontologists seem to miss this really basic fact of chemistry. Of course it's millions of years old; it's made of rock!:hammer: Carbon dating can only work on :whistling: carbon, right? So if there is no carbon left they are measuring the date of the limestone that has replaced it.

Carbon14 has a half-life of 5730 years, so all things being stable (which we know they weren't) you could make a pretty rough estimate of the age of anything younger than that. The problem is, it has to be calibrated with known ages of materials, and that only goes back about 1,000 years - things like wood sample cores from trees and the like.

My question remains the same as always; where do they get 160,000,000 year old test samples to calibrate their readings?

Further to your post the following link has some pretty interesting information on the 'estimations' used for carbon dating.

(also not to be a nit picker, limestone is CaCO3, so there is Carbon in it :))
